Role Purpose

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and compliant processing of payroll. This includes managing the timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and other earnings, while ensuring compliance with all tax, benefit, and statutory regulations. You will also maintain precise records of payments and deductions, ensure tax obligations are met on time, manage payroll accounting entries, and support ongoing process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration:

  • Maintain and update payroll systems with relevant employee data.
  • Ensure data integrity through thorough verification and correction.
  • Submit payroll data for approval and report any variances.

Integrated Payments:

  • Calculate tax payments in ZAR and incorporate them into total payout calculations.
  • Ensure timely payment to authorities in line with company policies and regulations.

Quality Management:

  • Align work with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify and correct any non-compliance issues and document resolutions.

Support Provision:

  • Analyse support requests to determine necessary actions.
  • Execute and deliver support within agreed timelines, including root-cause analysis and solutions archiving.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive enhancements in accuracy and efficiency.
  • Explore and implement automation solutions like RPA to streamline payroll processes and reduce manual errors.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate (essential)
  • 2–3 years’ experience as a Payroll Administrator
  • Experience with SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors systems

Advantageous Qualifications and Skills:

  • Payroll administration qualification
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with SAP HR and SuccessFactors
  • Experience with Gen AI and RPA technologies

Key Competencies:

  • Proficiency in SAP HR and SuccessFactors (SSF)
  • Strong analytical and interpretive abilities
  • Audit and reconciliation experience
  • Project management capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Effective stakeholder engagement
