Role Purpose
Ensure the accurate preparation and submission of tax-related information within agreed service levels, supporting the operations of FAW Umbrella Funds, Momentum Corporate Preservation Funds, and private funds.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Exposure to pension fund administration.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with the Orbit system (advantageous).
Key Responsibilities
Internal Operations
- Reconcile tax amounts to ensure account balances are accurate.
- Prepare and process monthly journals for SARS payments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in tax reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly, bi-annual, and annual tax reports, including EMP201 & EMP501.
- Manage IT88 reconciliations and monthly submissions.
- Ensure timely submission of tax reports and returns to SARS.
- Address and escalate client tax-related queries as needed.
- Provide guidance to administration teams on tax-related matters.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Assist with prior-year tax queries and escalations.
- Generate and issue manual tax certificates as required.
- Attend to escalated Jira queries.
- Reconcile unissued tax certificates and coordinate with administration teams for resolution.
Client Services
- Resolve client queries within agreed timeframes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements with stakeholders and clients.
- Recommend improvements to enhance client service delivery.
- Foster a client-centric culture that encourages feedback and enhances service quality.
