Role Purpose:
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing the flow of documentation across the organization—ensuring all records are correctly filed, tracked, updated, and distributed in line with company standards. The role also involves providing comprehensive administrative and office support to project leaders and technical teams, while ensuring alignment with GIBB Mining’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain updated records of technical documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documentation is stored according to internal control procedures.
- Oversee the review and approval process to confirm proper authorization before release.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders efficiently and on time.
- Track and manage document revisions, ensuring only the latest versions are in circulation.
- Administer the document retention and disposal process in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
- Conduct routine audits of document control processes to ensure compliance.
- Provide administrative support to project teams and other departments as needed.
- Guarantee documentation meets project and contractual requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum: Matric (with certificate and final results)
- Preferred: Qualification in Document Control or a related field (with certificate and academic transcripts)
- 4 to 9 years of experience in Document Control
- Experience in the Built Environment is essential
