Purpose Statement
Operate bin lifters to load and unload waste and perform general housekeeping duties in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive and operate compactor trucks and related equipment to load and unload waste at designated sites, following approved standard operating procedures.
- Complete necessary documentation such as trip sheets and time sheets at collection and drop-off sites.
- Ensure waste collection and dumping adhere to approved standard operating procedures.
- Maintain effective and hygienic housekeeping at all sites at all times.
- Strictly follow Afrirent’s hygiene code of conduct.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and standards.
- Communicate regularly with the Contracts Supervisor to provide and receive updates and feedback.
- Follow the Road Traffic Act rules and regulations and adhere to approved routes at all times.
- Identify and report risks, obstacles, and hazards.
Qualifications
- Grade 10
- Code 14 with PDP
Experience
- 2 years of driving compactor trucks
