Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers at the issue and receiving counter in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Verify that SSR signatures are authorized.
  • Capture SSRs and invoices daily before midnight.
  • Help with the loading and unloading of stock and non-stock items.
  • Perform daily spot checks to ensure system and actual stock levels match.
  • Cross-check captured SSRs daily against the Inventory Journal printout.
  • Assist with quarterly stock counts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store area.
  • Complete GRAs for all returns and repairs.
  • Ensure stock is properly binned and organized daily.
  • Comply with SHEQ procedures.

Governance:

  • Adhere to Rainbow’s ethical standards and RPM requirements.
  • Report or escalate any non-compliance issues appropriately.

Information and Data Management:

  • Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data in the information system for reliable reporting and analysis.
  • Share relevant data with management for informed decision-making.

Effective Teamwork & Self-Management:

  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks, demonstrating effective self-management in planning, prioritizing, and self-development.
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards consistently.
  • Notify relevant parties of any missed tasks or deadlines, potential risks, and provide appropriate resolutions.
  • Support and promote the business’s core values.
  • Manage colleagues’ and clients’ expectations and communicate effectively.
  • Show willingness to help others and strive to meet team targets and objectives.
  • Champion training and development through available opportunities or by contributing to new training solutions.
  • Participate in regular performance appraisals and ensure clear and achievable targets and goals.
  • Maintain awareness of employee relations and take corrective action as needed, following relevant legislation and company policy.

Ad hoc / Other:

  • Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within your area of responsibility.
  • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets as required.
  • Process documents for inter-company charge outs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a relevant numeric subject.
  • Equivalent numeric skills to Grade 12.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic to specialized skills, including technical and analytical abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work accurately.
  • Teamwork skills and multi-skilled capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Experience and Training:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar environment.

Problem Solving:

  • Requires good problem-solving skills and proactive thinking.
  • Ability to solve technical or analytical problems within own area or across divisions.
