Responsibilities – Driver
- Perform all driving duties, ensuring safety and customer courtesy.
- Operate and maintain vehicles with a focus on safety.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Inspect the vehicle for safety, fuel, oil, and water before departure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbook records before and after trips, and prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
- Keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
- Read and interpret maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient routes for service.
- Understand and comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations of South African roads.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor and/or manager.
Responsibilities – General Assistance in the Warehouse
- Adhere to correct process flows and work instructions.
- Assist dispatch with picking ordered stock.
- Assist receiving with checking and binning received stock.
- Ensure stock accuracy is maintained at all times.
- Conduct cycle counts as scheduled.
- Participate in stocktaking when required.
- Maintain a neat and orderly environment within the warehouse.
- Adhere to safety regulations.
- Conduct operations safely according to safety standards.
- Ensure safety checks on lifting equipment are performed before use.
- Report any unsafe working conditions and incidents to your Team Lead.
Experience
- Completed Matric.
- Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP, held for at least two years.
- Two years’ experience as a driver.
- Two years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Good command of English.
