Introduction
G.U.D Holdings is seeking a driver with a Code 10 license and PDP. The ideal candidate will provide reliable, courteous transportation services to customers, prioritizing safety, facilitating communication between customers and staff, and taking pride in the operation and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
Duties & Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Safely and courteously operating and maintaining the transport vehicle.
- Offloading 210-liter drums, consolidating, and wrapping pallets.
- Manually off-loading heavy products at customer premises as needed.
- Reading and inspecting maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route.
- Adhering to road safety regulations and speed limits at all times.
- Immediately notifying response providers and managers in case of accidents or medical emergencies.
- Ensuring correct loads and delivery addresses.
- Securing products and equipment to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Acting as a communication link between customers and staff.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on trip sheets and incident reports as requested by management.
- Keeping the vehicle clean both inside and out.
- Conducting weekly vehicle checks, washing the vehicle weekly, and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Assisting with monthly stock takes and performing other general duties as required.
Desired Experience & Qualifications Minimum requirements include:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- A valid Code 10 driver’s license and PDP (essential).
- At least 3 years of work experience with an excellent driving record.
- The ability to follow verbal directions, read maps, and use GPS.
- The ability to complete tasks and duties with minimal supervision and adapt to changing schedules or routes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, trustworthiness, and a presentable appearance.
