Our company, specializing in steel conversions, is seeking a dedicated driver. The role involves transporting various items such as packages, equipment, groceries, tools, and appliances from suppliers to our workshop, clients, or other designated locations. Key duties include loading items into the vehicle, navigating routes efficiently, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Driver Responsibilities:
- Maintain a travel log recording work hours, travel time, and locations.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the company vehicle.
- Select the best routes based on workload and area knowledge.
- Deliver friendly and efficient service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive defensively to ensure safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws.
- Operate a truck-mounted crane.
- Transport clients and packages to various destinations.
- Ensure the vehicle is fueled and ready for use.
- Keep mileage and repair records current.
- Arrive at destinations on schedule.
- Have a sound knowledge of crane operations.
- Report any tickets issued during work hours to the company.
- Park the company vehicle in permitted areas to avoid towing.
- Provide accurate time records of vehicle use.
- Report accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
- Perform vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Keep the vehicle interior clean and free of debris.
Driver Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 10 & 14) with PDP.
- Crane Operator certificate.
- Clean driving record.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and local routes.
- Ability to use maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
- Effective communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to follow dispatcher directions accurately.
- Physically able to lift heavy objects.
