Browns The Diamond Store is looking to hire a candidate to perform general driving duties while delivering professional and exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with a strong track record in adhering to company policies, adopting best practices, and exercising sound judgment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive safely and obey traffic laws, respecting the rights of other drivers.
- Transport items and documents safely and promptly to stores and clients.
- Maintain vehicle standards and comply with company equipment and vehicle procedures.
- Conduct vehicle audits using a checklist before starting duties.
- Drive responsibly to project a professional attitude and comply with safety rules and regulations.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
- Completed Grade 12
- CIT Certificate
- Grade A – C PSIRA
- Advanced Driving Certificate
Requirements and Experience:
- South African Citizen
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- 5 years of high-risk driving experience
- Good driving record
- Clean criminal history
- Ability to pass Department of Transportation physical requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adherence to strict policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain high levels of security and control
- Maintain situational awareness at all times
- Knowledge of Safety, Health, Risk, Quality, and Environmental principles
- Punctual and reliable
- Highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy
- Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime
