Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable and courteous transportation services to staff and participants, prioritizing safety.
- Serve as a communication link between participants and staff.
- Operate and maintain assigned vehicles.
- Maintain records of vehicle usage and staff transportation.
Key Performance Areas:
- Transport staff to and from clinics, the office, and events on weekends and public holidays.
- Assist with setting up and packing away equipment at events.
- Collect and deliver equipment and documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of client demographics using the transport service.
- Keep a logbook of kilometers traveled and manage site visits.
- Report any vehicle accidents or damages immediately.
- Fuel and clean the vehicle regularly.
- Ensure the vehicle is serviced and maintained (e.g., tires, brake pads) to meet safety requirements.
- Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
- Comply with traffic regulations and practice defensive driving.
- Adhere to Anova policies and procedures, ensuring minimal complaints regarding vehicle operation.
- Provide additional services as requested by management when not engaged in transportation duties.
- Assist with photocopying and document distribution.
- Perform various office ad hoc duties.
- Assist in the collection and delivery of goods and materials.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Code 10 Driver’s License
- Matric or equivalent work experience
- Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP)
- Defensive Driving Course (advantageous)
- At least 2 years of driving experience
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in local languages
