Job Overview
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant & Driver to manage stock movement, handle deliveries and collections, and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate should have warehouse experience, a valid forklift license, and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Matric (Grade 12)
- Licenses:
- Valid Forklift/Stacker License
- Valid South African Driver’s License
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a warehouse environment, including:
- Stock management and movement
- Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Arranging deliveries and collections
- Receiving goods from suppliers and investigating discrepancies
- Ensuring system records match physical stock
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and check customer orders as per company procedures.
- Prepare orders for dispatch.
- Pick and check interbranch transfers.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport products, supplies, and personnel.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Load and unload products/supplies from vehicles.
- Verify goods received from suppliers and warehouse transfers.
- Store stock correctly and perform bin transfers as per procedures.
- Adhere to Quality Management Standards at all times.
- Monitor and record warehouse temperature/humidity daily.
- Perform daily stock counts.
- Manage the goods return cage efficiently.
- Identify and implement warehouse process improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: R7,500 – R9,000 per month
