We’re seeking a skilled individual for the role of Artisan Utilities: Electrical in Nigel. Reporting directly to the Team Leader Utilities, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing line equipment to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Planned Maintenance:
- Participate in maintenance planning meetings and execute tasks as per schedule.
- Provide feedback on incomplete work for necessary adjustments.
- Support team members during planned maintenance periods.
- Contribute to post-mortem assessments for continuous improvement.
Routine Maintenance:
- Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and inspections according to the maintenance schedule.
- Address any problems uncovered during routine maintenance with appropriate solutions.
- Assist with condition monitoring activities as assigned.
Running Repairs:
- Respond to requests for running repairs on plant and equipment.
- Assess issues and determine suitable actions.
- Coordinate with internal or external resources for assistance if needed.
- Document all repairs and communicate unresolved issues to the Maintenance Planner.
Problem Solving:
- Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve issues encountered during routine activities.
- Seek additional assistance or escalate issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and participate in FFA’s as required.
Housekeeping and Safety:
- Ensure safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions.
- Adhere to legal, NOSA, and environmental regulations.
- Follow work instructions and SAB policies, maintaining cleanliness and applying 5S principles.
General:
- Operate and maintain various equipment, including transformers, compressors, boilers, and pumps.
- Assist with small capital projects when requested.
- Manage delegated tasks, personal development, and performance.
Skills, Experience & Education:
- Trade Test qualifications in Electrical with single and three-phase wireman’s license.
- 4-5 years of relevant technical experience in an FMCG environment.
