Position: Low-Bed Truck Driver

Salary: R192,000 – R216,000 per annum

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established civil construction firm known for delivering major infrastructure projects, is currently looking for an experienced Low-Bed Driver to join their team in Wellington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a low-bed truck to transport heavy equipment and machinery to various construction sites
- Secure loads safely before transportation and conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Plan routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
- Assist with the safe loading and offloading of machinery
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on the vehicle
- Follow all road safety rules and regulations while maintaining a spotless driving record
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license (no endorsements)
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in low-bed truck driving, preferably in civil construction
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
- Reside within a 70 km radius of Wellington
- Able to load and unload heavy equipment
- Willingness to work away from home when required
