Introduction Truck Driver – Code 14
My client, an international manufacturer specializing in animal by-products, seeks a Code 14 truck driver for their operations. The candidate must be based in the Western Cape.
The selected individual will be tasked with the transportation of goods and deliveries to designated destinations. Responsibilities encompass driving heavy goods vehicles (trucks), timely collection and delivery of raw materials as per the fleet schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of the vehicle
- Daily inspection of the truck and reporting any faults
- Loading and offloading various materials and equipment
- Compliance with the Road Traffic Act
- Ensuring the safety of other road users by adhering to driving protocols
- Truck cleaning to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintenance of Operating Procedures
- Investigation and reporting of incidents or near misses
- Performing other fundamental tasks associated with the role, subject to periodic review.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar driving role
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with a valid PDP and Dangerous Goods endorsement
- Clear criminal record

- Good sense of direction
- Advanced driver training is advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in a typical environment
- Successful completion of a drug test
