Stock Administrator Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for effectively managing inventory, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring efficient stock control processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to forecast stock needs, monitor inventory levels, and oversee stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the purchasing team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Track stock movements and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely stock delivery and distribution.
  • Utilize stock management software to monitor inventory and optimize stock processes.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and turnover rates.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock loss and enhance efficiency.
  • Communicate stock availability and shortages to relevant departments.
  • Assist in forecasting stock requirements and planning replenishment orders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Stock Administrator or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock management software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
