Duties & Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Accountant, your main duties will include ensuring accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting for the relevant business units. You will play a key role in promoting adherence to the company’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards, ensuring that all team members prioritize safety in their work. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a reliable and timely Record-to-Report (R-to-R) process that meets Group standards and local legal requirements. Periodic financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly, and upon request) will be part of your duties, as well as statutory and statistical reporting in compliance with Group and legal standards. You will also gather necessary information for project provisioning and respond to financial queries from the company.
- Encourage safe work practices in line with the company’s SHEQ standards.
- Ensure the R-to-R process is reliable and timely, adhering to Group and local legal standards.
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly/yearly and as needed).
- Complete statutory and statistical reporting in compliance with Group and legal requirements.
- Collect data for project provisioning.
- Address financial queries from the company promptly and accurately.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant role will bring substantial experience in financial accounting, coupled with a strong understanding of SHEQ standards. You should have a proven ability to generate financial reports and perform statutory and statistical reporting. Your skills in project provisioning will also be key in gathering and analyzing company information. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively respond to financial inquiries from internal stakeholders.
