Job Description:
The Security Department at the Pretoria Branch is seeking qualified Security Officers to carry out the following duties:
- Control entry and exit points at all SA Metal properties by maintaining proper records and managing gate operations
- Conduct searches on individuals, vehicles, and belongings of anyone exiting the premises
- Ensure all visitors and customers are provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and that it is returned post-visit
- Verify that any items leaving the premises are supported by the required documentation
- Enforce compliance with company procedures before granting access to employees, including administering and checking breathalyzer tests
- Patrol designated areas at scheduled intervals
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Monitor for and report any suspicious activity
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- PSIRA Grade C certification
- 2–3 years of relevant security experience
