Position: Repair Shop Assistant
Location: Motus Toyota Bedfordview
Motus Toyota Bedfordview is currently seeking a Repair Shop Assistant to join our Service Department. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a workshop setting and a keen interest in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Technicians with vehicle repairs as directed
- Remove and replace vehicle components or units
- Safely lift vehicles and secure them on trestles
- Perform oil changes and lubrication tasks under supervision, following manufacturer specifications
- Replace and fit wheels, air filters, oil filters, and batteries
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on both new and used vehicles
- Assist in diagnosing and replacing worn brake components
- Maintain cleanliness of parts and ensure a tidy work environment
- Provide general support with all vehicle repair tasks
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- Clear criminal record
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic technical knowledge and hands-on skills (advantageous)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work effectively in a team
