Job Summary:
A Professional Accountant is sought to join the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) division on a permanent basis, starting on either 1 February 2024 or 1 March 2024. The ideal candidate will have completed their SAICA, AGA, or SAIPA articles and should be confident, quality-driven, and skilled in managing client relationships. The role offers a collaborative and supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth while serving a broad range of clients in the SME division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting financial statements in line with IFRS for SMEs.
- Conducting Independent Review engagements according to ISRE 2400.
- Managing Compilation engagements as per ISRS 4410.
- Preparing and calculating taxes for Companies and Trusts.
- Ensuring statutory and tax compliance, while providing value-added client advice.
- Coordinating with clients to complete engagements in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
- Post-article experience in an audit practice is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and relevant accounting standards.
- Proficiency with CaseWare.
- Familiarity with various accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of the Companies Act and Income Tax Act.
Educational Qualifications:
- BCom, B.Acc, or Honours degree in accounting or financial accounting.
- Completion of SAICA, AGA, or SAIPA training contract or qualified.
