Job Advert Summary:
We are seeking a Professional Accountant to join our Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) division on a permanent basis starting from either 1 February 2024 or 1 March 2024. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed their SAICA/AGA/SAIPA articles, demonstrating confidence, a commitment to high standards, and effective client relationship management.

Minimum Requirements
Experience and Skills Required:
- Post-article experience in an audit practice is advantageous.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and Accounting Standards.
- Working knowledge of CaseWare.
- Proficiency in various accounting software packages and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of the Companies and Income Tax Acts.
Educational Qualifications:
- BCom, B.Acc, or Honours degree (accounting or financial accounting).
- Completed or qualified SAICA/AGA/SAIPA training contract.
Personal Qualities:

Duties and Responsibilities
Main Purpose of Position: This full-time role in the SME division involves executing Independent Review and Compilation engagements for our fast-growing and diverse client base. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with clients to ensure timely completion of engagements, statutory and tax compliance, and providing value-added advice.
Position Overview:
- Drafting financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.
- Execution of Independent Review engagements in accordance with ISRE 2400.
- Execution of Compilation engagements in accordance with ISRS 4410.
- Preparation and calculation of taxation for Companies and Trusts.
