Role Summary
As a picker, you will be involved in warehouse operations including picking, packing, and scanning orders to ensure the highest quality for stores. Your goal is to boost efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will report to the Outbound Supervisor, Outbound Manager, and the Outbound Checker. This role requires working various shifts, including Sundays and Public Holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pick, pack, wrap, label).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, optimizing space usage.
- Report any discrepancies.
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting and move products as necessary.
- Use a scanner to track and record inventory movements.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge for accurate picking and packing.
- Work efficiently, especially during peak periods.
Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- Proficiency in English.
- Clear criminal record.
Preferences
- South African candidates.
- Reside within 15 km of the job location.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a picker in a warehouse environment.
