Job Advert Summary
Purpose:
- Responsible for operational management and support in the receiving warehouse section.
- Oversee the receiving of ordered goods at the business premises.
- Serve as the Business Unit driver, ensuring the safe collection and delivery of goods or people, adhering to all road regulations/rules.
- Manually capture data for Goods Received Vouchers and service entries into SAP accurately and promptly.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)
Experience:
- 2-3 years in a warehouse, operational environment, and SAP MM Module (Essential/Minimum)
Operational Requirements:
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- Public Driver’s License: Code B (Essential/Minimum)
- Forklift Certification (Essential/Minimum)
- Competence in SAP Position Specific Module (Essential/Minimum)
Duties & Responsibilities
Administration and Document Control:
- Resolve queries and complaints, and report progress.
- Assist with item issuing, delivery, binning, and dispatching.
- Capture and process receiving document data manually into SAP.
- Ensure processed data is available to authorized staff.
- File processing documents and maintain confidentiality.
- Note incorrect deliveries on supplier’s documentation.
Business Performance and Operations:
- Conduct accurate and timely receiving of materials, signing delivery documentation correctly.
- Support the audit process and improvement of the warehouse function.
- Report incorrect and damaged items immediately to the coordinator.
- Execute standardized processes and investigate warehouse process improvements.
Compliance, Governance, and Assurance:
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance.
- Create awareness and address unsafe or non-conforming practices.
- Utilize the SAP module to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure adherence to governance, policies, standards, statutory, and legal compliance.
Functional Excellence:
- Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Assist in standardizing, simplifying, and speeding up processes.
- Apply and promote functional best practices.
- Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives.
Operational Support:
- Execute material management reporting.
- Oversee truck loading/offloading by external parties.
- Record received items, compare with original orders, and ensure availability for binning.
- Ensure items are sealed to prevent dust/corrosion.
- Ensure stacked items are securely bound during handling and warehousing.
People Management:
- Adhere to performance management procedures.
- Uphold the company culture and values within the function.
- Foster effective teamwork and unity.
Receiving Process:
- Support the implementation of Information Management (IM) technology and infrastructure for SCM receiving processes.
- Support the audit process and site receiving function improvement.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment:
- Maintain a healthy environment and safe operational practices.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies.
- Promote a culture focused on safety.
Systems Infrastructure and Enablement:
- Support the implementation of IM technology for SCM processes.
- Utilize relevant ERP modules to ensure data integrity.
- Support the audit process.
