Position Overview

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is looking to appoint 11 Hospitality Services Assistants on a full-time basis. The primary responsibility of these roles is to provide hospitality, food, and beverage services during SARB functions and events, ensuring a high standard of service and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up meeting rooms, boardrooms, cafés, and function venues.
  • Serve meals and refreshments while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct inspections of venues before and after events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned work areas.
  • Log and report breakages or shortages in crockery and cutlery.
  • Handle lost and found items per SARB policy.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Work independently and resolve issues as they arise during service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and OHS&E standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar hospitality role.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
