Position Overview
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is looking to appoint 11 Hospitality Services Assistants on a full-time basis. The primary responsibility of these roles is to provide hospitality, food, and beverage services during SARB functions and events, ensuring a high standard of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up meeting rooms, boardrooms, cafés, and function venues.
- Serve meals and refreshments while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Conduct inspections of venues before and after events.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned work areas.
- Log and report breakages or shortages in crockery and cutlery.
- Handle lost and found items per SARB policy.
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Work independently and resolve issues as they arise during service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and OHS&E standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar hospitality role.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
