Position: Graduate – Finance (Transport)
Location: South Africa
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Graduate (preferably on the CIMA path) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world logistics environment. You will support financial planning and analysis, contribute to efficient operations, and help drive profitability across our transport functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in compiling monthly financial results by sourcing and analyzing data from Oracle, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely journal processing.
- Support revenue management by ensuring timely and accurate client billing and facilitating payment follow-ups in coordination with Shared Services.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial objectives align with operational goals.
- Conduct cost analysis, support budgeting and forecasting for supply chain operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Analyze and interpret financial data and operational performance metrics.
- Submit accurate and timely monthly financial reports.
- Participate in project management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with vendor management and provide administrative support to Distribution Centre management.
- Serve as a liaison between finance, administration, and operational teams to ensure seamless communication and support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) Certificate
- BCom Degree with a focus in Finance or Accounting
- CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) preferred
- Strong financial insight and ability to work effectively in team settings
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- An understanding of quality standards and their importance in a logistics environment
