Role Outline: The Finance Clerk will assist the Admin Controller with month-end tasks such as HR reports, KPI reports, and First Choice Reporting, and handle queries related to HR issues. Responsibilities include placing orders, dealing with creditor queries, data capture on Oracle, and general administrative duties. The role supports the Credit Controller, Admin Controller, and Accountant, ensuring timely and accurate data management, order placement, and query resolution.

- Manual handling

- Processing paperwork and maintaining records
- Performing financial functions for order entry
- Creating purchase orders on Oracle
- Verifying and matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving discrepancies
- Processing purchase order discrepancies on Oracle
- Processing supplier invoices on Oracle financial system
- Printing Oracle purchase order summaries and following up on clearance
- Preparing documentation for Shared Service Centre for capture and/or payment processing
- Filing finance documentation
- Updating daily accounts expenditure file accurately
- Handling supplier queries
- Updating detailed labour spreadsheets daily
- Assisting with weekly/monthly expenditure analysis
- Assisting with weekly flash preparation
- Collating data and analyzing consumable information for budget purposes
- Providing support to management/accountant on financial and operational issues and reporting
- Physically identifying, labelling, and verifying assets on site versus asset registers
- Performing receptionist duties as required
- Conducting other administrative duties as necessary
- Operating IT systems as required
- Working in a physically demanding environment, meeting deadlines and KPIs
- Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment
- Adhering to operational context, systems requirements, operational documentation, customer-specific procedures, and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Matric – Essential
- Administration Certificate or equivalent – Essential
- Accounting package Certificate – Essential
Skills & Experience:
- Approximately 5 years of logistics and warehouse experience
- Approximately 5 years of finance and admin experience
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
- Ability to count accurately and perform simple math calculations
- Commitment to completing tasks before breaks or leaving for the day
- Proficiency in Windows, email, and accounting packages
- Computer literacy with MS Office and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with Excel pivot tables and formulas
- Experience with Oracle accounting module is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
