Primary Job Objective:
To deliver a dependable and courteous transportation service to participants, act as a communication link between participants and staff, and manage and maintain assigned vehicles.
Location:
Helen Joseph Hospital, Westdene, Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with management for daily transport schedules.
- Safely transport patients to and from destinations.
- Transport staff for home visits.
- Securely collect and deliver documents and/or goods.
- Assist with ad hoc administrative and maintenance tasks assigned by management.
- Fulfill general driving requirements for the site as authorized by management.
- Maintain study documentation per monitoring requirements.
- Complete the vehicle logbook before and after each trip.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and in roadworthy condition.
- Monitor mileage intervals and notify the admin manager as per service intervals.
- Park company vehicles in the main security area during weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to vehicle policy, driver policy, and road law enforcement regulations.
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks, demonstrating effective self-management.
- Ensure consistent and accurate maintenance of quality and productivity standards.
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
- Take ownership of career development through participation in ongoing training and development activities.
Minimum Education and Training Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Valid South African Driver’s License and Professional Drivers Permit (PDP)
Minimum Work Experience and Abilities:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Driver role
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of Gauteng areas
