The Driver Salesman will be responsible for managing allocated loads and vehicles on assigned routes, focusing on customer service, sales growth, and efficient vehicle utilization to support company objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
- Truck Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained.
- Incident & Accident Reporting: Report all incidents and accidents to management promptly.
- POD Management: Ensure all Proof of Delivery (PODs) are signed, stamped, and accounted for.
- Fuel Efficiency: Meet company-set fuel consumption targets.
- Stock Control: Oversee the accurate loading and offloading of stock.
- Pallet Management: Ensure correct pallet counts during loading and offloading.
- Daily Vehicle Checks: Complete and submit checklists, report defects, and communicate with fleet supervisors.
- Route Reconciliation: Conduct end-of-route reconciliations.
- Cash Handling: Bank collected cash as per company policies.
- POD Returns: Ensure all PODs are returned and recorded.
- Meeting Attendance: Participate in Invocoms and team discussions.
