Full Job Description
Job Overview:
- Ensure that orders are accurately loaded as indicated on the Dangerous Goods Declaration provided by the Magazine Master.
- Always use drip trays when transferring any products to prevent soil erosion and water pollution, ensuring any spilled product is collected in plastic bags and disposed of according to company standards.
- Assist the Magazine Master with stock replenishment tasks.
- Deliver orders On Time, In Full (OTIF), ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing AECI’s reputation.
- Load explosives in strict compliance with the Explosives Act and Regulations.
- Conduct monthly inspections of the magazine fire extinguisher, ensuring checks are completed and signed off.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the magazine area, adhering to AECI’s standard procedures and policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matriculation Certificate).
- Possession of a valid Magazine Master’s Certificate.
- Basic management skills.
- A valid Code C1 (10) driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Red Ticket and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word, and willingness to advance to using SAPR3.
- Experience in basic stock control or a similar field is recommended.
- Ability to obtain First Aid and Fire Fighting Certificates.
