We are in search of a dynamic, motivated, and reliable company driver to support the company in customer deliveries within the Western Cape.
The starting date for this position will be January 2024.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Delivering stock to customers.
- Collecting return items as requested.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of delivery vehicles.
- Reporting any faults on the company vehicle.
- Verifying the correctness of product, quantities, and packing quality before loading.
- Following planned routes scheduled for the day.
- Ensuring proof of delivery for invoices is signed and completed as required.
- Recording time-in and time-out, to be completed and signed by the customer.
- Executing instructions from Management for the day.
- Promptly informing Management of all failed deliveries.
- Assisting in checking stock received from Head Office and customers periodically.
- Supporting cycle counts before and after stock takes.
- Participating in stock takes at a minimum of quarterly intervals or as determined by the employer.
- Taking responsibility for all traffic fines and their repayment.
- Maintaining a neat, tidy, and presentable appearance at all times.
- Undertaking any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer’s business.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Valid Driver’s License – Code B and/or C (License will be verified upon employment).
- No criminal record/background.
- Excellent verbal skills in English.
- Familiarity with the roads/areas in the Western Cape.
- Highly motivated and task-oriented.
- Ability to meet and follow deadlines.
- Self-motivated and dedicated.
- Entry-level position (No prior experience needed).
Package & Remuneration:
R 6,000.00 (Non-negotiable).
