Code 10 Driver – George

Our client is seeking a Code 10 Driver to join their team in George.
Job Purpose:
The role involves delivering bulk chemicals to Lancewood Dairy in George and Swellendam. This includes transferring hazardous chemicals from 1000L flow bins on the delivery vehicle to bulk storage tanks at customer sites using a pump.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Logistics:
- Load and deliver customer orders daily according to the delivery schedule in George and surrounding areas.
- Verify and ensure accurate quantities are delivered to customers.
- Confirm and collect the correct stock from suppliers.
- Accurately complete all delivery and collection documents for financial records.
- Ensure the vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damage or breakage.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects or unroadworthy issues immediately.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Customer & Supplier Interaction:
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and suppliers.
- Plan delivery trips in advance before departure from the office.
- Occasionally provide minor technical assistance at customer sites, including servicing electronic dosing equipment and basic maintenance tasks.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with warehouse operations, including:
- Moving products and stock in and out of storage.
- Packaging stock onto shelves.
- Picking and packing customer orders.
