Job Overview:
We are looking for experienced and reliable Cherry Picker Drivers to join our client’s team. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating cherry pickers and hold a valid cherry picker driver’s license. Previous experience in the cleaning industry would be an advantage, as drivers will perform general cleaning duties when not operating the equipment.
The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining clean, sanitary, and well-kept spaces. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting various areas.
- Clean restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, offices, and common spaces.
- Maintain and polish floors, including stripping and waxing as needed.
- Clean equipment, partitions, walls, shelves, and cupboards.
- Empty and sanitize trash bins, replacing liners.
- Use electrical scrubbing and polishing machines after receiving training.
- Perform carpet cleaning, including suction cleaning and spot treatment.
- Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely as per supervisor instructions.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management.
- Lock and secure facilities after completing cleaning tasks.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Respond to customer requests and complete special cleaning assignments.
- Work independently or as part of a cleaning team.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating cherry pickers.
- Valid cherry picker driver’s license.
- Strong physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, stand for long hours, and lift heavy items.
- Experience using cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle access to sensitive areas.
- Strong time management skills and ability to follow schedules.
- Willingness to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Problem-solving ability and common sense.

Salary & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: R40 per hour
- Potential Earnings: Up to R6,400 per month

Daily Operations:
- Work shifts communicated via WhatsApp/SMS.
- Shift schedules may change based on weather and client needs.
- Transport may be provided in certain cases.
- Paid travel time of 30 minutes for trips to the site (home travel time is unpaid unless the site is over 40 km from the CBD).
- Employees must wear the full uniform at all times.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Staff must sign the register at the end of each shift.
- Employees must adhere to the company’s disciplinary code of conduct.
