Introduction
Zibo Containers, a leading manufacturer of thermoformed plastic packaging, is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, and driven Code 10 Driver to join our team in Olifantsfontein, Johannesburg.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Trip Documentation: Complete a trip sheet for every trip dispatched, clearly listing each customer invoice/delivery note and collections from the Quality Department.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection each morning before dispatch. Physical checks must be done thoroughly without shortcuts.
- Load Verification: Check and verify that the load is safe, complete, and complies with Zibo and customer delivery standards.
- Invoice and Stock Coordination: Ensure that all invoices for planned routes match the stock loaded.
- License Management: Ensure the vehicle has a valid license disc and notify the Dispatch Manager when renewal is needed.
- Speed Compliance: Do not exceed 80kph in a Zibo-owned vehicle, as indicated on the vehicle’s rear doors and in accordance with road traffic laws.
- Vehicle Cleanliness: Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness and hygiene according to Zibo and BRGC standards, including the cab and load body.
- Uniform Compliance: Wear a full Zibo uniform that is clean and presentable. Worn clothes, casual T-shirts, etc., are not allowed.
- Problem Reporting: Immediately report any issues with customer deliveries (e.g., stock shortages, damaged stock, over-supply) to the Dispatch Manager. A monthly airtime allowance of R55 will be provided for communication with Zibo.
- Damage Reporting: Report any vehicle damages on the log sheet and to the Dispatch Manager.
- GRN Completion: Complete a Goods Received Note (GRN) for any stock returns or pallet returns, clearly indicating the customer name, product, and quantity, including Groplast customers who do not take delivery on pallets.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other reasonable work-related instructions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Education: Matric (High School Diploma)
- Licenses: Valid Code 10 and 14 driver’s licenses with a PDP
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
