Position: Driver
Location: Wits RHI – Lejweleputswa (Free State)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose
The Driver will be responsible for transporting patients and clinical staff, as well as collecting and delivering documents or goods in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles while performing routine checks.
- Drive responsibly and adhere to all road regulations.
- Report vehicle faults, necessary repairs, or accidents in a timely manner.
- Follow the daily transport schedule as assigned by management.
- Ensure that patients have their medical files before transportation.
- Safely transport patients and staff to designated locations.
- Collect and deliver documents or goods securely.
- Assist with administrative and maintenance duties when required.
- Maintain accurate vehicle usage records as per company policy.
- Uphold professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude in all tasks.
- Engage in training and self-development activities to improve skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid South African Driver’s License (Code 08 or Code 10).
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced driving certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage schedules effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and ethical.
- Ability to handle emergency situations such as breakdowns or hijackings.
- Familiarity with corporate dress code and professional conduct.
Job Demands
- Extensive travel time on the road.
- Punctuality and time management are critical.
- Must have a good sense of direction.
