Facilitating the movement of goods between the company and its customers is a primary focus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Packing goods for transportation to and from customers.
- Assisting in the packing of orders for customer deliveries.
- Managing signatures for received, delivered, or returned goods.
- Planning efficient delivery routes by sorting invoices into designated areas and using maps if necessary.
- Providing support in order pulling and packing activities.
- Assisting in loading deliveries onto vehicles.
- Preparing delivery logs.
- Verifying returns against documentation.
- Collecting and securing payments from customers, with all payments delivered to the cash office.
- Offloading goods to customer-specified locations.
Adhering to Safety Regulations:
- Complying with safety regulations during the loading and offloading of goods.
- Promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or practices to management.
Shrinkage and Breakage Control:
- Consistently applying internal policies and procedures.
- Escalating identified problems to the relevant manager.
- Reporting suspicious occurrences or individuals to management and security personnel.
- Handling stock with care.
- Ensuring proper balance of loads in the vehicle.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Possession of a Driver’s license (Code C).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent.
- Experience in core store operations within a similar environment or related role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
- Ability to pay attention to details and work under pressure.
- Analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail, planning, and organizing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
