Main Purpose of the Position:
To provide effective and efficient transportation support to the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide chauffeur services for the SABC transport division.
- Transport SABC staff according to schedules.
- Manage and ensure the optimal use of SABC vehicles.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal clients at all times.
- Develop cost-effective drop-off routes to enhance customer service.
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of clients to and from venues, and accurate delivery/collection of documents.
- Handle administrative tasks such as maintenance reporting, fueling SABC vehicles, and maintaining records for management reporting.
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
- Complete logbooks before and after trips.
- Reserve vehicles for clients.
- Ensure clients receive the correct car keys and fleet cards.
- Verify clients’ details before handing out car keys and make copies of their driver’s licenses.
- Be available for overtime and shift work as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Address complaints or queries from both internal and external clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with users and service providers.
- Adhere to SABC policies and procedures.
- Comply with statutory requirements.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and workflows.
- Observe all organizational regulations.
Inherent/Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- C1 Driver’s License with PDP
Experience:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge:
- Understanding of service regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of courier service operations
- Familiarity with the province
- Excellent customer care skills
- Strong time management abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand maps
