Full Job Description:
The Transport Department is in need of Code 14 Drivers who will undertake the responsibility of operating various code 14 vehicles. Duties encompass, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the safety and maintenance of the vehicle and its cargo.
- Conducting daily inspections of the vehicle and promptly reporting any faults.
- Loading and unloading diverse materials and equipment.
- Adhering to the regulations stipulated in the Road Traffic Act to guarantee road safety.
- Prioritizing the safety of fellow road users.
- Complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies, and road regulations.
- Navigating efficiently throughout the Gauteng area.
Qualifying Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with an active Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Three years of driving experience.
- Hands-on and practical approach to the job.
- Proficiency in driving vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Experience operating equipment such as a Mounted Grab Crane, skip, or RoRo is advantageous.
- Proficiency in reversing a draw-bar trailer is required.
