Job Description:
Job Summary: The primary responsibility entails operating vehicles within the Electrical department to ensure safe transportation of staff and equipment to various locations both within and outside the station. Additionally, the role involves the collection and delivery of items to and from external suppliers, along with the upkeep of vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
- Three years of relevant driving experience.
- Possession of a valid code EB driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
- Must hold a Public Drivers Permit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely collect and deliver items/equipment.
- Ensure appropriate use of petty cash.
- Ensure punctual arrival of staff during transportation.
- Maintain vehicles in clean and optimal condition; report defects/incidents promptly.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Proficient communication skills (verbal and written).
- Understanding of road traffic regulations.
