Job Overview:
Midas is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our Krugersdorp branch. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods, adhering to all procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-departure and return inspections of the vehicle.
- Submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for sign-off.
- Report any vehicle errors immediately before departure.
- Verify parcels with the supervisor before loading, following the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
- Deliver parcels to customers according to the route schedule and trip sheet.
- Ensure customer compliance with the POD procedure.
- Follow the RFC procedure.
- Deliver all documents and collection slips as assigned and receive POD.
- Sign trip sheets with the POD clerk, ensuring all assigned documents are completed and returned the next day.
- Take responsibility for outstanding trip sheets and address any claims on No POD queries.
- Avoid stock transfers between customer shops.
- Maintain and clean the vehicle, reporting any issues to the dispatch supervisor immediately.
- Report any delivery or POD issues to the dispatch supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years of delivery experience
- Valid driver’s license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) – Essential
- Strong time management skills – Essential
