Introduction:
The primary goal is to facilitate the movement of goods between the company and the customer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pack goods for transportation to and from customers.
- Assist in packing orders for customer delivery.
- Obtain signatures for received, delivered, or returned goods.
- Plan deliveries by sorting invoices for economical route planning, using maps if necessary.
- Assist in order pulling and packing when required.
- Aid in loading deliveries onto the vehicle.
- Prepare delivery logs and check returns against paperwork.
- Collect and secure payment from customers, delivering all payments to the cash office.
- Offload goods as per customer preferences.
Adhering to Safety Regulations:
- Comply with safety regulations during loading and offloading of goods.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions or practices to management.
Shrinkage and Breakage Control:
- Consistently apply internal policies and procedures.
- Escalate identified problems to the relevant manager.
- Report suspicious occurrences or individuals to management and security personnel.
- Handle stock with care.
- Ensure loads are correctly balanced in the vehicle.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Driver’s license (Code C).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience in store core operations or a related role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Analytical ability.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
