Introduction
A position is available in Malmesbury for a reliable Code 14 Driver responsible for transporting livestock.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to schedules, procedures, safety regulations, and proper use of resources.
- Collect delivery documentation.
- Verify the truck list and follow the designated route.
- Inspect the truck and load before departure.
- Operate the truck safely, use seat belts, avoid electronic devices, and refrain from smoking.
- Handle the return of products, empty containers, and undelivered invoices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standards.
- Report to work with all required PPE.
- Punctually perform shift changes.
- Communicate daily activities using the provided system.
- Complete the return checklist for long-distance trips.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Code 14 driver’s license with a PDP professional driving permit (valid for at least 3 years).
- Minimum of three years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
- Valid professional driving license.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and local areas.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Residing in Malmesbury or surrounding areas.
- Leadership skills.
- Own reliable transport.
