Job Summary
To ensure the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods and shuttle services, while consistently providing excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan collection and delivery routes by checking moxes and tasks for deliveries and collections.
- Conduct delivery and collection of specimens from outlying laboratories, supporting doctors and clients to ensure timely and proper delivery of specimens, reports, and other goods to the correct destinations.
- Complete and sign proof of delivery for collected or delivered specimens or reports to maintain tracking records.
- Scan specimens and results into the Courier Management Programme for accurate tracking and tracing of all deliveries and collections.
- Maintain the safe keeping and fault reporting of Lancet’s assets (vehicles, petrol cards, uniforms, etc.) and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition for excellent service delivery.
- Use protective wear (specimen bags, gloves, eye specs, etc.) to ensure personal safety and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Complete and submit incident and accident reports to Management to ensure timely insurance claims processing and repair of damages.
- Maintain the cleanliness of Lancet vehicles, report any spills of hazardous materials to management, and ensure safe working conditions as per Quality Assurance Standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Criteria Required:
- Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification preferred
- Appropriate Driver’s License
- Grade 10 or a minimum of 10 years courier experience
Experience:
- Grade 10 with 2-3 years relevant working experience or a minimum of 10 years courier experience
