Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely delivery to customers within the allocated time slot as assigned by the chief inspector of explosives.
  • Execute the delivery process safely.
  • Adhere to public traffic regulations and CIE regulations (80km/h speed limit).
  • Coordinate the offloading process.
  • Verify that explosives seals are intact and match delivery documents.
  • Sign delivery documents.
  • Assist customers with offloading the product.
  • Complete a full vehicle inspection sheet before departing the Magazine area daily.
  • Ensure the vehicle license and explosives operator’s card remain valid.
  • Ensure fire extinguishers are compliant.
  • Return proof of delivery to the administration office for customer invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Code 14 driver’s license
  • Valid dangerous goods permit
  • Willingness to undergo psychomotor testing

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within the supply chain explosives environment.
  • Proven experience in handling explosives products and emergency processes (Hazchem).
