We are currently seeking an experienced Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in delivering and collecting materials across Cape Town and surrounding areas, ensuring safe and efficient transportation. The Driver will report to the Project Manager and should be a self-motivated, highly organized individual with in-depth knowledge of Cape Town and the ability to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to designated locations.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Provide excellent customer service by professionally handling client inquiries.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid C1 driver’s license with PrDP and a clean driving record.
- Experience in delivery driving or a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good physical fitness for handling deliveries.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to safety procedures.
- Must pass a background check, including criminal record screening.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO compliance).
