Zeal HR, in partnership with JobJack, is looking for a skilled and responsible Code 14 (EC) Truck Driver to join our wholesale client in Durbanville Industrial, Cape Town.

- Working Hours: 8 hours per day, as needed

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and professional Truck Driver to handle the safe and timely transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will ensure vehicle maintenance, adhere to schedules, comply with road regulations, and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients/customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily truck inspections using a checklist.
- Perform thorough cleaning of the truck (inside and outside) every Monday, with daily upkeep as needed.
- Transport orders or packages safely and efficiently.
- Verify that the correct products and quantities are loaded, cross-checking trip sheets and orders.
- Arrive at destinations on time, following trip sheet schedules.
- Assist with office pickups and truck loading when necessary.
- Plan routes considering traffic, construction, and weather conditions.
- Use navigation tools to determine the most efficient route.
- Maintain professionalism, hygiene, and proper dress code when interacting with clients/customers.
- Ensure the truck is always fuelled and ready for use.
- Report any issues or faults to management immediately and record them on the checklist.
- Operate the vehicle responsibly, following all South African Road Traffic Laws.
- Use the company vehicle strictly for business purposes unless authorized by management.
- Adhere to the company’s Zero Tolerance Policy and Workplace Harassment Policy.
Requirements
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Proficiency in English
- Reside within 15km of Durbanville Industrial, Cape Town
- Clear criminal record
