Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Code 10 Driver to handle deliveries, collections, and warehouse support in George and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, and have strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery & Collection:
- Load and deliver customer orders according to the daily schedule.
- Verify correct quantities for deliveries and collections.
- Complete all delivery and collection documents accurately.
- Vehicle & Safety Management:
- Ensure the vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damages.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean at all times.
- Customer & Supplier Interaction:
- Maintain professional communication with customers and suppliers.
- Plan delivery trips efficiently before departure.
- Technical Assistance:
- Occasionally assist with minor servicing of electronic dosing equipment.
- Support general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Warehouse Support:
- Assist with stock movement, shelving, and order packaging.
- Pick and pack customer orders.
- Bulk Chemical Deliveries:
- Deliver bulk chemicals to Lancewood Dairy (George & Swellendam).
- Transfer hazardous chemicals from 1000L flowbins to customer bulk tanks using a pump.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Matric (Grade 12)
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role
- Language Skills: Fluent in English & Afrikaans
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service and supplier liaison skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
