Position: Bus Driver

What are we looking for?
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience, qualifications, and skills:
- Code 10 license
- PDP essential
- Experience in school bus driving is highly recommended
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
- Presentable with good communication skills
- A clear criminal record
Responsibilities:
Learner Transportation
- Drive a school transportation vehicle along prescribed routes and time schedules
- Pick up and drop off students at designated stops
- Transport students and teachers on field trips, planning necessary routes and stops
- Maintain order and discipline among student passengers in accordance with district policy
General Worker Duties
- Perform general maintenance and facility support tasks
- Address maintenance requests for facilities
- Conduct daily facility checks to ensure proper maintenance
- Perform required maintenance, such as plumbing repairs
- Inform the facilities manager of needed repairs
- Complete general maintenance across the facility
- Manage maintenance consumables and report requirements to the facilities manager
- Store and maintain maintenance tools
- Support security, access control, and traffic management across the facilities
- Perform garden maintenance, including grass and flower bed upkeep
- Maintain garden cleanliness and report requirements to the facilities manager
- Manage gardening consumables and tools
Health and Safety
- Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of assigned vehicles
- Report necessary mechanical repairs
- Service buses with fuel and oil; check and fill tires and batteries as needed
- Perform safety drills and complete required reports
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness for safe operation
- Attend safety, first aid, and training update meetings as required
Record Keeping
- Complete periodic mileage and other reports, including passenger counts
