Job Grade: Paterson Grade: B2
Sections: Intaglio (x3), Litho (x2), and Finishing (x2)
Number of Positions: 7
Purpose
Assist the department with daily production tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and inspect products and raw materials from storage, then transport them to the appropriate production section.
- Ensure sufficient consumables, such as platforms and boxes, are available for the production shift.
- Operate the feeder to ensure high-quality paper feed into the machine and troubleshoot any feeder-related issues.
- Monitor and replenish ink levels as needed, and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Operate the cutting machine for boards, assist with changeovers, and handle machine cleaning and stripping.
- Report any deviations according to company procedures.
- Assist with daily product balancing.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to safe work practices, identify and address hazards, and escalate risks in the workplace.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- N3 Engineering or TT3
- 1-2 years of experience in the printing/manufacturing industry (preferred)
