Job Overview
Our company, specializing in solar installations and supplies, is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Assistant to the Accounts Administrator. This role involves providing administrative and project support to our Management Team, ensuring smooth business operations.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, professional, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly Pastel accounting software, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- General Administration:
- Manage documentation, sorting, filing, and archiving.
- Assist with office management tasks.
- Financial & Supplier Control:
- Handle petty cash, purchase orders, and picking slips.
- Verify supplier documents, including purchase orders, tax invoices, and proof of delivery (PODs).
- Stock Management:
- Monitor and maintain stock control.
- Business & Project Support:
- Work closely with the leadership team on administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric)
- Preferred Qualification: Certificate in Administration or Basic Bookkeeping
Knowledge & Skills:
- Software Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bookkeeping Skills: Understanding supplier records & financial controls
- Document Management: Maintaining supplier details & compliance
- Additional Industry Knowledge (Advantageous): Plumbing, Electrical, or Construction experience
