About Us:
Intercare Medfem Hospital (Pty) Ltd, based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, is seeking to hire a dedicated Admissions Clerk. The role involves delivering professional customer service through effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the patient admission process.
As an admissions clerk, you will be stationed at the front desk, ensuring smooth and efficient admissions, reception, and payment services for patients and the public. Your key responsibilities will include welcoming and directing patients and visitors, assisting with the completion of admission documentation and authorisations, answering phone calls, and handling queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth functioning of the reception, admissions, and cashier areas.
- Handle incoming phone calls and assist as needed.
- Welcome and direct patients and visitors to the appropriate areas.
- Assist with the completion of admission paperwork.
- Accurately capture admission details in a timely manner.
- Verify that patients have obtained the necessary authorisations and made required payments before admission.
- Accurately process and allocate payments.
- Provide support in other reception areas as needed.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a medical facility.
- Knowledge of medical schemes and admission procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong typing skills.
