About the Role:
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist – Non-Production Spend to lead procurement initiatives, streamline operations, and embed best practices across the supply chain. This role plays a key part in enhancing efficiency through supplier management, process ownership, and project execution.
Reporting to: National Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement of Non-Production Spend
- Lead procurement projects focused on non-production goods and services
- Conduct cost analysis and operational efficiency reviews
- Negotiate SLAs and manage relationships with key suppliers
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with procurement standards
2. Process Ownership
- Develop and maintain procurement processes across the supply chain
- Create and implement a strategic procurement roadmap
- Take ownership of daily decisions aligned with overall strategy
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve process-related queries
3. Process Improvement & Standardization
- Analyze and improve existing procurement practices
- Implement standardized best practices across all NBL locations
- Lead change management efforts and eliminate implementation barriers
- Track and report implementation success
4. Project Management
- Oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Ensure best practices are followed and all stakeholders are adequately trained
- Monitor interconnected project timelines and mitigate risks
- Track progress and share both learnings and successes
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Generate and monitor weekly, monthly, and annual reports
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support procurement decisions
- Provide mentorship and quality control for junior analysts’ reports
- Drive data-backed business cases and follow through with implementation
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Procurement Specialist (Non-Production Spend focus)
- Background in purchasing or buying is an added advantage
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Project Management
- Preferred: Honours degree in a related field
Additional Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- SAP and Spend Management systems (advantageous)
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Excellent communication and analytical thinking
- High ethical standards with a sound understanding of governance and compliance
- Willingness to travel nationally (and occasionally internationally)
